XII All-Russian Congress on Fundamental Problems of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics
On August 19-24, 2019, the 12th All-Russian Congress on Fundamental Problems of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics was held in Ufa. Within the framework of the congress, famous scientists, professors and university professors, representatives of large enterprises from Russia and the CIS countries discuss urgent industry problems, exchange ideas, and determine the vectors of further research. The Congress of Mechanics plays a significant role in the development of advanced areas of scientific, engineering, technical and design thought.
Head of the Theoretical Mechanics Department prof. Aslanov presented the work "DYNAMICS AND CONTROL OF ACTIVE SATELLITE DURING TOWING SPACE DEBRIS BY A COULOMB FORCE" at the plenary session of section 1, "General and Applied Mechanics" of the Congress. Prof. V. Aslanov was also the chairman of the of section I-6 "Space Flight Mechanics".
All-Russian congresses on theoretical and applied mechanics have been held since 1960 (first once every four years, then once every five years, and now again once every four years). In total, in 1960-1991. seven All-Union congresses on theoretical and applied mechanics were held: in Moscow (1960, 1964, 1968 and 1991), Kiev (1976), Alma-Ata (1981) and Tashkent (1986). In 1972, instead of the next All-Union Congress, the XIII International Congress on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics was held in Moscow. In 2001 in Perm, in 2006 and 2011 in Nizhny Novgorod, in 2015 in Kazan, the VIII, IX, X and XI All-Russian congresses on fundamental problems of theoretical and applied mechanics were held.
